I just love all things hot and spicy! Of course, for me, it should be a pleasant type of hot and spicy and not those that would almost burn your mouths and keep them numb for hours! HUMBLE BEGINNING:
Chill OUT Chili Garlic Oil is owned by partners Mr. Ceferino Kim I. Buenaventura and Ms. Marife P. Tandingan. They started making this mouth-watering condiment back in July of 2016. Kim, being a chili lover himself, tried cooking chili oil for personal use when he got back home to Pangasinan after working abroad in Qatar. He shared a portion of it to one of his relatives who works in a call center which was then shared with his workmates during lunch breaks. From that moment, word of mouth's magic worked its way in making this chili oil a full-blown business for Kim and his life partner, Marife. As both of them and their loved ones like partying out and while the chili oil is also perfect for finger food on parties, they thought of the name "Chill OUT" for their product.

Chill OUT is 100% natural, homemade chili garlic oil which indicates that it offers the natural health benefits of chili and garlic adding to that the avoidance of artificial chemicals and additives like MSG and other preservatives.

PRODUCT REVIEW
Just like what I've mentioned at the beginning of this blog post, it is by far, the best chili garlic oil that I've tasted. I'm a chili garlic oil lover so I can really attest to the quality of this product. It has a rich savory taste and you can really notice that it's homemade and not some factory manufactured product. It's absolutely perfect to be partnered with dim sum, fried food and personally, I love to use it in cooking spicy fried rice!

The owners have shared with me that they started selling this product in a plastic peanut butter container back in Pangasinan for only Php 80.00 per bottle. A year has now passed since then and they have really improved a lot when it comes to the packaging of the product. As seen in the above photos, it is now packaged in a tightly sealed glass container ensuring its freshness every single time!
At the moment, Chill OUT Chili Garlic Oil comes in a 220ml glass container and they're selling it for Php 130.00 each. They are also open for bulk orders with a discounted price of Php 115.00 each.

Burger! I think it is starting to be considered as a staple food for many countries. Here in the Philippines, you can basically see it anywhere. From high-end restaurants, fast food chains, food stalls, food carts and even on the side of the streets! And from these spots, you can also see their different gimmicks that people love like finishing a huge burger in 5 minutes to get it for free and of course, the never-ending buy 1 take 1 promo... never gets old. lol!
So anyways, would it be a lot better if you can just make it yourself? You can do and put whatever you want in your burger and ultimately, save money! And maybe, just maybe... You get to think about doing this as a start-up business because people won't be getting your own patties from any supermarket's frozen section. You know as they say, home made cooking is always the BEST!
Let me share how we do it with burger patties.
For the burger patty mixture, you'll need the following:
1 kilo ground pork (well, you can choose beef if you like but i prefer pork because it's cheaper) 2 medium sized onions, finely chopped 2 medium-sized carrots, grated 45g processed filled cheese, grated 1 teaspoon salt,1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon sugar 2 medium sized eggs 1 cup flour
So just grab and wear your plastic gloves and mix everything up. This mixture ideally makes 25-30 patties but it depends on how big you would like your patties to be. As an alternative, you can also choose to use Singkamas (Jicama or Mexican Turnip) if you don't have carrots or you can use a combination of the two. You can also add some left over bread if you have any, pour a little bit of evaporated milk to soften it. This is if you want to increase the volume of your mixture. Remember, this is just a guide, you can always adjust the measurement of the ingredients to your liking. Go ahead and trust your taste buds hehe.
When frying, just use a small amount of cooking oil (about 4-5 tablespoons). We don't want your patties to shrink.
By the way, you can use the same mixture in making meatballs but since we are talking about patties, I'll also show you some of the dishes I made using it.
