A BRIGHT AND COLORFUL AGUINALDO SHRINE

Happy independence day Philippines! This is absolutely something that we should celebrate and be proud of. This year, I am even prouder especially being a Caviteño as the government did their best in taking its celebration to a whole different level.

In commemorating our country's 117th year of independence, the local government of Kawit, Cavite and DOT (Department of Tourism) gave a new life to the structure of our nation's birthplace by video mapping projections, stunning lights and sounds!

Showcasing our country's history with the use of modern visual effects and equally amazing music, this has definitely got the people's attention and interest. Behold the pride and glory of the Philippine's freedom, the Aguinaldo Shrine!

I actually went here last night with my cousin. It really has the WOW-factor seeing it live. Don't worry though, they will have this lights and sounds show up and running from June 11-15, 2015 so you guys still have the chance to catch it!

According to the June 10 release of the Official Gazette, the show is scheduled to play every 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. We were fortunate enough that we arrived few minutes before 8:30 PM last night so we did not wait that long for the show to start.

The freedom park in front of the shrine was jam-packed with locals and other tourists! Lots of food and souvenir stalls are in every corner as well. It only goes to show how successful this celebration is. Kudos to everyone who made this happen!

I was able to take a short video clip for you guys so you can have a glimpse of this wonderful show but if you get the chance, I do encourage you to visit our humble town and watch it live!

Enjoy and again, Happy Independence Day!

Wow. It's been 14 years since I've last set foot in Kawit, at the Aguinaldo Shrine. during a school field trip. Wonderful celebration of our freedom commemoration. Thanks for sharing.

P.S. I'm subscribing to your lovely blog. Keep up the good work.

  2. Hi! Yes! It really is wonderful! They might be able to do something like this again perhaps in Christmas/New Year. It would be awesome if you'll visit this national landmark when you get the chance.
